Fort De France 2

27 December 2015
Colours for Christmas Day
Fort De France has been a rather pleasant place. It is not the backwater of the Caribbean and it certainly a modern day city. It has a bus system that will take you anywhere around the island. It has supermarkets that we can buy anything and everything we want (at a price) and need to have a festive Christmas dinner. It has a very pleasant waterfront, albeit undergoing renovations, but very pleasant to be around. But, as much as we love the amenities, we have shopped for Xmas and it will be time to move on to something a little different. Unfortunately, we are stuck here till the winds abate and Xmas passes. It is a small anchorage so we know we will not be surrounded by dozens of boats as in many other anchorages.
