Viveiro to Cedeira
07 June 2014
Up early and off again, still pushing to get to Coruna with a SE wind from behind, this quickly swung to the SW and kicked in hard again right on the nose. We have only had one following wind since we left La Rochelle and have been on a beat most of the way. As we rounded the headland of "Cabo Ortegal" for a 30nm punch across to La Coruna, a unanimous decision was made to duck into Cederia for the night and give it a rest. Arriving early afternoon we put our feet up, fed ourselves and had a few hours to just relax and do as little as possible before hitting the sack. This turned out to be a good decision as Cederia was a very sheltered little "Ria". Anchored just off the town quay along with four other yachts for the night, it was a quiet and peaceful night in what were relatively windy conditions on a good holding ground for the anchor.
