Be Good George

Our winds are currently light and variable and the seas are as confused as an organic chemistry student.
We knew when we left that we'd have to motor sail for a couple of days till we found the sweet spot. By this afternoon we are predicting a 2 knot positive current and 15 or so knots of wind out of the SE. We haven't caught a fish yet and I'd like to predict that we're going to do that this afternoon as well. Last night we had chicken, and as scrumptious as it was, I am in great need of a fresh fish fix(say that ten times fast).
Our auto pilot, George, has been acting up. When we left on Sunday it was randomly cutting in and out but after resetting it a few times it was working just fine. Well, fine except that the display was messed up. I told dad I'd rather have an auto pilot that holds a heading with a snarffed up display than a readable display and an auto pilot that doesn't work at all. He failed to take comfort in my "the glass is half full" comment. Last night George started switching to standby whenever he felt like it and I have had to put him back on course several times. I do not want to hand steer to the Marquesas with only two people on board. No, thank you. So when the captain wakes up, I'm going to encourage him to have a talk with George.
We tried to check in on the net yesterday, but no joy. Our SSB isn't picking up the frequency for some reason. Propagation, I've been told.
We will try again today.
Cheers to this afternoons predictions
