The dinghy man can!

We were supposed to rent a car and drive around the island today. Several issiues surfaced. Either the car's too small, there aren't enough people, there are too many people, it's too expensive, etc. So with last minute additions and pull outs it worked out just fine that we stay on the boat and get some work done before mom gets here.
Mom left yesterday and I understand she's been continually bumped in Denver on her way to LAX. Her sister lives in CO and I wonder if she got a chance to grab a drink and give a kiss. In LA Mom is going to visit my cousin, her husband, her husband's brother and their two kiddie winkies. I am pretty sure that sentence is grammatically confusing and full of unclear pronous.
Anyway, I can't wait till she arrives, have I said that? Dad and I were discussing an analogy about the two of us. I am oil and he is vinegar. We don't mix. We need tasty herbs (being another party) to add to the combination before we get a delicious salad dressing (us getting along). Tuesday brings a gorgeous Kreitzberg vinaigrette.
Dad put a new prop on the dinghy engine and took the carburetors apart to clean all the wee parts. They have been continually clogged since I can remember. The results are beautiful. We are now the proud owners of an engine that not only runs, but runs well.
I stuck to pink jobs all day. Made food, cleaned galley, detailed cabins, occasionally assisted the old man with a screwdriver retrieval. I do what I can.
I'm going to get ready for an afternoon run. I suggested that we go out for a bite to eat. No reply, but I think he may cave.
Cheers to being spoiled every now and then,
Cass
