Thursday and a spinny

Don't wanna jinx us but...damn! This is a great trip. The wind has picked up a bit and sails have had to be reefed. We flew the chute all day but wound up taking the spinnaker down at one in the morning, but with three crew on board it's not that of a big deal anymore. The skipper's blood pressure only rose a few points as opposed to the old Terry "red-face-were-gonna-crash-this-plane!" response to sail change urgency.
I'm going to get in trouble for writing that.
Everyone is falling into sinc with watches and dealing with so much free time. When not in the galley whipping up this or cleaning up after that I am asleep or reading. People have asked me, "Don't you get bored out there?". Hell no. This is great. No need to shower, no land time schedule, no walking 5 minutes to use the head, no distractions. Time to get away from the little guy in back of your head insisting that, "you should be doing something right now." If you are into analogies, I have been chasing my tail on land and at sea I get to lick my paws.
Cheers to surfing downwind, Cass
