Groundhog Day

We are in Darwin now. I feel like we have always been in Darwin. The weather is ridiculously perfect everyday with sunshine out the wazoo and the occasional whispy clouds that tease you with the idea of shade and make for unbelievable sunsets. Everyday is chock full of swimming at the local olympic sized outdoor pool and walking on the waterfront to a local museum, art exhibit, music festival, or asian food market. It is great. But we do it EVERYDAY. The folks at the sailing club that we're anchored behind have begun to shake their heads at us when we roll off the dingy with our laptop cases and shower bags all ready to live out the daily dream.
Why are we still here you ask? Weren't we supposed to go with a big rally of boats to Indonesia? One word...
Passports.
Oh, the delight of dealing with international governmental officials...The indonesian consulate agant wouldnt accept pappy's nor my passport because there was not a whole full empty page. Easy solution just to send them to the American Embassy down in Melbourne-ok, done. Then we received notice that Cassandra Kreitzberg's paspoort was in less than acceptable condition and a new one must be purchased if i wanted to leave the contry. I had the option of an emergency isue that would take 3-5 business days or an official one that would take up to three weeks to process! So yeah...10 days later we are still in Darwin waiting for the post to arrive with that magical package that releases sor from the Groundhog day curse. Today may be the day....
Cross yer fingers!!!
missed you...
