anchorage at New Year Island at north end of King Island

short 3 hr sail to top of king for the night, our jumping off point for the 57nm crossing of Bass Strait to Apollo Bay and back into Victorian waters. The Restaurant With No Food, King Island

spent day checking out Currie - great little place, redeeming King Island as a place of appeal. Had lunch at the restaurant with no food which was really cool. With the lads off Slaint Varse at Strahan Harbour

10 March 2012
After returning from our night up the Gordon river in company with Stormbreaker, we reprovisioned and got reloaded to head to sea again the following day.

Word had got out that there had been a mass breakout in the harbour and there were escapees everywhere. As such the boys armed themselves and went hunting, capturing 13 of the escapades. They gave us one upon our return to Strahan - you beauty! Dinner tonight and the next 3!

Anchored for the night in the back channel near the Hells gates entrance so we could make an early start. Strong current going one way and wind the other so it was impossible to get a hold. Ended up grabbing a dodgy little mooring and set both the anchor alarm and depth alarm. Not a very relaxed sleep.
