Sailing the ocean blue

Good morning! you've probably see a couple of repeats of Nathan's comments. That was my fault since I'm still learning who to post to the blog via SailMail and this is a second attempt at writing a blog post

Anyway, so far so good in terms of sea sickness and state of the sea. A few of us are wearing Scopalamine patches and doing just fine. Only a little dry mouth and the occasional hallucination. Just kidding!

It's been pretty much overcast since the beginning of the sail except for a few hours yesterday when we sailed around the edge of a clear patch of sky. The cloud formations on the perimeter looked like giant cliff hanging in the air. Very cool. It also allowed the ocean to show that beautiful Indigo blue the you see from outer space. Stunning and I can't wait to see more of it in the coming days.

Apparently the was some issue with our Pacific Cup tracker and it showed us way behind. In actuality we're in 1st place in our division. And the other O40 is close behind.

Speaking of the tracker if it's working when you check it out you'll see that we were heading back to San Francisco for a bit. That was yours truly steering by instruments at 3:00 AM in the morning in pitch black and not doing a very good job of it. Anyway didn't hurt us too much.

ps please forward to friends and family.
