Small comment from Nathan: The weather forecast shows the Pacific high snapping back towards a more normal configuration over the next several days. Time will tell whether the northern position gets breeze far enough in advance to capitalize or whether the southern position (possibly better gybe angles in a normal year) will work out best. With the fastest boats having the most weather information (having departed a day after we did) aparently chasing us along rhumline, it seems that the big money is on VMG this year.
