High time I got this job done. 4200 nearly gone on all stanchion bases.

One of the least rewarding tasks I have completed from an aesthetic point of view...no one can see the result of all the hard work and the boat doesn't "look" any better. This is one of the most important and miserable jobs I have tackled to this point. I noticed some moisture under some of the stanchion bases in side the boat. I had to remove some of the cabinetry to access the mounting hardware. I used butyl rubber to seal the bases and replaced all the mounting hardware. I am very happy with the results and hope the boat stays watertight for many years to come.
