Baiona

Another short sail away is Baiona. We had visited during our winter trip so left the sightseeing to Jeff and Sandra. The castle here is worth a walk round and the old city is great for wandering the streets and sitting in cafes with a beer or two – so that’s what we did. J&S also went on board the replica of Colombus’s ship ‘Pinta’ and thought it worth the two Euros. In the evening we had a seafood paella in a modern restaurant on the shore side road. We’ve lost the name but think it was something like Mason de Taberna. Almost more prawns, octopus, cockle and chicken than there was rice it was very tasty and great value at E78 including beer/wine for four.
