Cala Vadella (or Badella – depending on the chart)

C&C
On Monday we had another boisterous sail the 12 miles around the headlands to Calle Vadella to the south of San Antonio. This is a small rocky cove with the beach and town at the head. There is very little room to anchor so we picked up one of the buoys. Chris went ashore to ask around if this was OK and was told it was fine though the bouys are private no body worries at this time of year. Chris spent a while helping a French couple with children on a charter yacht to get onto a bouy. They clearly had no training or idea and were dangerous for the other boats in the bay. We landed Fid on the beach, it’s a small place with a number of bars and restaurants, looks nice but after our expensive meal on Saturday we will eat on board tonight! We bought some bread and supplies in the small supermarket and then had to help the French again who’d manage to get the buoy line trapped around the keel. We’ll spend a day or so here and then probably head north to other Cala’s to anchor there.
