New Crew/Cala di Volpe

C&C
Kath and Steve joined us on Thursday morning and we left Olbia around 11.30 and in a stiff north westerly breeze made the trip up to Cala di Volpe. There is a very pricy hotel at the head of the bay here and this attracts the mega yachts, there were some significant gin palaces anchored around the bay.
We chose to anchor just off the headland to the east of the main bay where we had been told there was a good restaurant without the mega prices of the head of the bay – a reported E15 for a beer! Steve and Chris took the dinghy to book a table for that night and we relaxed and swam before dinghying across for dinner. The staff were pleasant and the meal was fine but at E40 per head with only one bottle of wine was not good value for the quality we received, no recommendation there but a nice place to anchor and watch the antics of the mega rich.
