Well, the celebrations were intentionally low key but the birthday had one of the larger numbers attached to it as Chris was 60 on 28th September.

We started with nice French croissants for breakfast followed by the cards and presents Carolyn had smuggled out from the UK or found more locally. Thanks for all the cards and wishes.

We had lunch on board and cancelled our planned walk as it was very windy and boats were trying to leave and were getting into all sorts of problems. In these circumstances it’s wise to be on board to fend off! We helped many boats out that day and spent much of the time on board keeping watch until the wind died late afternoon.
