We had visited Finikas two years ago when there were only a few boats at anchor, this time the bay was quite busy but we were able to drop the hook in around 5 metres in the centre of the anchorage area. We spent 6 nights in Finikas mostly just relaxing and doing bits of shopping and boat work. We returned to the taverna on the waterfront 'Calmo Mare' that we patronised on our last visit and had another good meal though the prices had gone up.
There is a very small marine shop in the corner of the harbour. As you enter there seems to be a small cubbyhole with a few bits in it, very under-welming. The lady there was however very helpful and promised to get the fuel treatment we needed from the main store in Ermopoli by that evening, which she did. Splice's tanks were then heavily dosed to try and improve the 'fuel bug' problem.

Finikas's ducks guard 'Fid'
It is not uncommon for Greek harbours to have a community of ducks and Finikas has a small area set aside for them. It is however by the dinghy dock we use, so each time we came or went to board 'Fid' we were dodging waddling ducks or the 'donations' they leave on the pontoon!
