The French mono hull that had managed to get his engine in gear (last blog) and drive in circles around his anchor, charging into the swim area, tried to leave 24 hours later. As he pulled his anchor up it became clear where all the swim buoys had gone......it took him an hour in the dinghy to untangle it all!
We have been married for over 25 years and have two grown up sons. Carolyn has dual English/French nationality and speaks French well. [...]She enjoys yoga, badminton, researching family trees and sailing in good weather! We have naturally spent quite a bit of time in France, particularly around the Jura.
Chris is the keen sailor with a trans-Atlantic and RYA qualifications under his belt. He enjoys football, plays a bit of guitar for fun and would happily spend all year on the water.
We have a Cat because Carolyn, being smaller, had difficulty bracing across the cockpit of our monohull (and because its not tippy!).
