We have two showers on board Stiletto. One below decks and one outside on the transom. The outside shower gets used most during the summer months.
We have a technique to save our water. We like to spend as much time at anchor as possible, only needing to go into a marina or on a quayside to get water and supplies. Stiletto carries 400 litres of water which sounds a lot but that is used to shower and wash up and can go very quickly. So, let me share with you how we save our precious water.
At the end of the day, even in the dark, we swim off the back of the boat. We get out. Shampoo our lovely lithe fit bodies😂 and our hair. We jump back in, rinsing off, and then, use the freshwater transom shower as a final rinse off. We still end up squeaky clean and fragrant but have used hardly any of our precious water.
