Kotsifou Canyon is a gorge on the southern side of the western part of the island. It has walking trails and from the literature we had seen is very spectacular. We chose not to walk it. We didn't have our walking boots on board and trying to do it in sandals would be irresponsible. So we drove to it for what seemed like hours and it came and went in a heart beat. Nowhere to park up and take in the views so we pulled over, did the Greek thing and put on our hazard lights, took a couple of pics and then headed off. Walking through it would seem the way to go.
