To the border!

20 June 2014
Dain
We should cross the border @ 1:00 AM, and arrive in San Diego sometime tomorrow. I'd love to have at least one more SSB cxn before then, but we've been trying for days on end with no luck. We have had some pretty nice winds over the past few days, favorably lifting us on long, coast-eating tacks, however - so no complaints will be heard from me. I mainly don't want to have to be towed into Shelter Island and US Customs... but, it's looking like that may be our lot.

It's really surreal, 12h out of Cabo when our engine died, I thought 'well, we have sails, let's keep moving on and try to fix this as we go...' and here we are - 1200 miles later, still sailing on, making electricity, making water, making memories... and making everyone anxious, I am sure!

About:
Zahn is 14 and fast. How fast? 12.47 on the 100m dash, makes him a little less than 4 seconds slower than the current standing world record. If he was running with Usain Bolt, he'd be right on his heels. Zahn is the Flag Officer, and all around awesome. Ava, is 8, going on 16. [...]
