So close but so far!

21 June 2014
Angie
We are so close to San Diego, but so far! After sailing a thousand miles this last 70 shouldn't be so hard, but it is. We still have had no luck with the engine, we are pretty convinced the clutch is broken. So we keep sailing along with what wind we have (which wasn't much of any today) and dream of home.

Today we saw a school of sardine looking fish & jelly fish swimming along with the boat. Other than a seagull, that's the most life we've seen for the past couple of days. We also are starting to see a handful of ships on the horizon at any given moment. The ships are a bit scary, they are going so fast, but it means we are getting closer to San Diego!

About:
Zahn is 14 and fast. How fast? 12.47 on the 100m dash, makes him a little less than 4 seconds slower than the current standing world record. If he was running with Usain Bolt, he'd be right on his heels. Zahn is the Flag Officer, and all around awesome. Ava, is 8, going on 16. [...]
