Hi All! We've been in San Diego since the end of April and have been getting a BUNCH of stuff done to Storm Haven! We did take a few weeks off the end of June thru Mid July to see our son Jason & his wife Jen and their new baby, Charlotte and also our Leslie(our daughter) Nathan and grandaughter, Naia who's 1. (Only 2 of our 9 grands with 1 more on the way!!) Then we flew to Alaska to go cruising on Mutineer V with Steve and Carolyn for 18 days. Wow! was that fun and so pretty! It was really different and fun to be on a sailboat rather on a trawler! we really had a great time. Well, Storm Haven is really getting a face lift! She's getting NEW updated stabilizers, new (bigger) bow thruster and a new stern thruster to go with it. We've put a bunch of new, updated electronics on Her, including a Furuno Navnet GPS with an AIS and also a Furuno Depth Sounder. We also installed an Iridium phone to be able to stay in touch with our family while we are at sea and in the South pacific. One more thing -- we also got a SPOT so our blog can follow Storm Haven wherever she is with little blue dots ;>) That is IF Paulie can figure out how to use it!! Don & I are both a little "Electronically Challanged" so we hope we can figure out how to work ALL of our new electronics! A lot more is/has been done to Her but I won't bore you with the details. Anyway, our plan is to head back towards La Paz to wait for March 2011 to head across to the Marquesas. We're getting very excited. Well, I'll try to be better about updating this blog. I'll update when we actually leave for La Paz.
