We Are Thankful for So Much

22 November 2012 | New River, Ft. LaLa
On this day we are thankful for our families, friends, our love for each other and the chance to live this (crazy) life. We hope you and yours are healthy and enjoying the day. Happy Thanksgiving!

We have been slowly working our way down the east coast of Florida, watching the weather and the calendar. We are currently in Ft LaLa (Lauderdale) waiting for a weather window to cross the Gulfstream and sail the last leg to Emerald Bay. We need to be there by the 14th, our wedding day! Looks like it might happen Saturday. We plan to leave and get to Nassau sometime on Sunday. Wish us luck...and fair winds.

Taking time to go down the ditch has given us the opportunity to see how the cats do now that we are underway again. Kai is doing very well. Don is thrilled he has shown no signs of mal de mer. Velcro, on the other hand, continues to blow lunch whenever we are waked by a power boat. But, the two very different cats are getting along better. Here is a pic of about the best we think we can expect...peaceful coexistence.

We will try to keep the blog going for the armchair sailors and we hope to see some of you soon in the Bahamas!!
