pretty nifty anchorage!

We moved yesterday from Porvenir to Chichime Cays, which is two islands surrounded by reefs. The islands do not protect the anchorage area from the prevailing winds and swell, though, but the reef blocks all the waves. We face into the wind, and look out over a big reef with huge crashing surf on the other side, but calm here. An awsome view, and the sound of the surf crashing lulls you to sleep.
These keys are supposed to be uninhabited, but there are two families living in thatch huts, one on each island. AND a hotel - sort of - it is $10 per night and you get a hammock in a dirt floor thatch hut and three meals a day - did not ask how the food was!! The place is packed with boats, we had trouble finding a spot to anchor, and had to re-anchor after a wind shift moved us too close to another sailboat - but the view is just a nice here.
