Cloudy Days
09 February 2010 | Eastern Holandes Cays, San Blas Islands, Panama
John
The past two days have been very cloudy, mid-westerny weather - not conducive to motivation at all. Yesterday we bolted to Nagana to pick up the watermaker parts - left Kanildup, anchored at Nagana, at lunch at Nali's Cafe (another restaurant built entirely out of sticks and thatch with a sand floor) went to the main airport office - no package on the AM flight, guy said come back at 3:00. Lo and behold, a plane arrived at 3:00. Went back to the airport office - which is on the island next to the Island with the actual airport, got told to go to the dock on the island with the airport - and Yep, sitting on the dock is a box with my name on it. Amazing.
Left as soon after that as we could, and motored directly into a ten knot breeze to the Holandes Keys - anchored now on the north side of Banedup Island, with a big huge reef protecting us from the ocean swells - but the wind is now HOWLING through.
Maybe I'll tackle taking the watermaker apart today and putting in the new parts - or maybe we'll just go snorkeling instead. Only time will tell.
