Monday- Using Those Pointy White Things Again
07 June 2010 | Honduras- Roatan, Port Royal to French Harbour
Mostly sunny, very warm, gentle to moderate breeze, southeasterly
Well these trade winds sure do make a difference in how much we can raise the sails, i.e. use those pointy white things. We were almost feeling like power boaters with as much motoring as we did in coastal Pacific waters. Today we moved over to Fantasy Island in French Harbour where we'll spend some time getting ready for and visiting with friends coming from Florida, Dave and Cindy. Excited to have visitors, not many folks have come in the 2-1/2 years we've been out...not sure if they're afraid of Mexico and Central America or our lifestyle. Seems that we have more interest in people coming now that we're in the Caribbean....hum! By the way we had a really great time during our last stop in Mango Creek Resort at Port Royal, Roatan. The on site owners were very hospitable, the grounds and accomodations spectacular and food exceptional. We highly recommend considering it for your next vacation if you're looking for a very unique getaway!
