Monday- Island Tour
02 April 2012 | Mexico, Isla Mujeres
Sunny, very warm, moderate breeze, easterly

Grab a golf cart and go for a SLOW trip down island with Hooligans and Jumbies. First a stop at the municipal market for fruits and veges and a COLD FRESH SQUEEZED OJ. Then a quick turn around town to check out all the previously unexplored streets before the crowds ferry over from Cancun. A visit to pirate Mundaca´s home and gardens, personally built out of love for a woman who did not return his affections and refused his marriage proposal. Paula is a turtle freak so next stop was at the turtle museum, lots of unusual colorations and a loggerhead to see, she was in heaven. Tom from Jumbie was bound and determined to have a lunch at a seaside restaurant they had frequented on their last visit to the island, boy we were glad he was insistent...it was great! Onto the south tip of the island where there is a sculpture park. A little more puttering around and the purchase of a fresh snapper from a fishing coop for our planned sushi dinner together then back to the boats. Happy birthday Tim!
