Monday- Coast Guard Visit

07 May 2012 | Mexico, Isla Mujeres to USA, FL, Key West
Sunny, very warm, light breeze, north easterly
Still a motor boat ride and we´re taking it slow to nurse along some potential engine issues till we make the next port and ¨all stop¨. Got a visit from the US Coast Guard via plane & VHF radio about 100 miles off Key West, just checking us out….welcome home!

Sunday- Glass Seas

06 May 2012 | Mexico, Isla Mujeres to USA, FL, Key West
Mostly sunny, very warm, light breeze, north easterly
Got out of the shipping lanes today, seas continued calm like glass and a boost from the Gulf Stream is still helping the engines.

Saturday- Heading To Florida in a Full Moon

05 May 2012 | Mexico, Isla Mujeres to USA, FL, Key West
Mostly sunny, very warm, moderate breeze, easterly
Sailed all morning with a current boost helping out also, making 7-9 speed over ground on calm seas. Wind came around close hulled and the dream diesels had to come on in the afternoon, we´re a motor boat again. The evening showed a HUGE full moon, one of the biggest of the century I hear tell.

Thursday- Ferry to Cancun one more Time

19 April 2012 | Mexico, Cancun
Mostly sunny, very warm, moderate breeze, easterly
One more ferry trip to Cancun reportedly for shopping purposes but in reality just anothe opportunity to go to the polozeria!

Tuesday- Gourmet Tacos

17 April 2012 | Mexico, Isla Mujeres
Mostly sunny, very warm, moderate breeze, easterly
Tonight we went for gourmet tacos with Hooligans and Willows. Gourmet tacos say you, yes lamb and duck filled and too good to be true. This is our third visit to this taco stop nestled and almost unnoticeable among the crowd of restaurants along this street.
Vessel Name: Sunbow
Vessel Make/Model: Chris White Design Atlantic 46 LR Catamaran
Hailing Port: Fort Myers, FL
Crew: John Kremski & Sharon Del Bianco
About:
Although mid-westerners by birth we call the southwest gulf coast of Florida our "home port". John has been sailing since he was six while Sharon is a novice by comparision with only 17 years behind a boat wheel. [...]
Extra: We started cruising full time in November of 2007. It was a rough start with lots of adjustments but after about 2 years we got our "sea legs" for the lifestyle. It´s hard now to imagine any other home than being in Sunbow on the water.

The definition of a "sunbow" is ...... a rainbow-like display of colors resulting from refraction of sunlight through a spray of water...rainbow, moonbow & sunbow!
