What a year it has been

Since the unfortunate events of last fall, Crystal and I are divorced and I find myself back living a working life trying to support my near toddler son Vladimir who just turned 1. Yeah!!! Unfortunately, the dream of cruising has been put on an extended hiatus, and with the boat still in Puerto Rico, its becoming a hassle to keep flying down there and maintain it. Instead I have decided to give it a shot and sail it back to RI. That is if I can detach it from the coral reef that has grown under the keel. Its been near 18 months that the Sundowner is sitting at anchor in Salinas PR. I visited often, cleaning the bottom and the prop, polishing the gelcoat and making sure there is no mold growing in the cabin. If I'm gonna ever do the delivery the time is now, before the hurricane season comes.

Offseason, and then some

Life throws you curveballs, you can't get caught looking. You can either swing and miss, or if you focus and try really really hard, you can hit a home run. I am at the batting cage, practicing for the latest pitch life has thrown at me.
