Update - Just Getting Started

We are starting the preparation for our voyage to the French Polynesian Islands, that will commence in the spring/early summer of 2012. It is my intention to record the preparation, the voyage, and the return (if there is one) of theMarilynbelle here in this blog.

We are starting the preparation for our voyage to the French Polynesian Islands, that will commence in the spring/early summer of 2012. It is my intention to record the preparation, the voyage, and the return (if there is one) of theMarilynbelle here in this blog.
After the purchase, the hull was cleaned and painted on shore, then refloated and motored back to Cowichan Bay, and the ship had a new name chosen, the Marilynbelle.
[I will expand the details of her earlier incarnations, as time goes by, and I will take some photographs for posting here in out blog, and put together a historic outline of the Marilynbelle, including previous names (if that's allowed); I have an inkling that it may not be traditional to use previous names and will make sure it's appropriate by discussing this with locals at the dock.]
Brian was at my house today in the early afternoon. and made arrangements to go down to Cowichan Bay, where the Marilynbelle is berthed, for a day of cleaning and organizingI As well, I will record the position, in Cowichan Bay. Yesterday, I received from CVARS president, Dale Jones, three emergency auto-responders for our trip.
