Hopping down the Coast

After a nice easy run into Monterey we laid over for a day and enjoyed the local color. It was also a very breezy day, and with some concern we set sail the following morning in the dark. Turned out to be big seas and brisk winds (30Knots) from behind for an exciting run of 107 miles to Morro Bay, the next real harbor to the south. Sailed with the main and smal jib winged out on a pole giving us some nice rides up to 13 knots. Arrived just after dark at 6:40.
Watermaker has recovered and everything is working well on board. We'll wait here for one or two days and then head around the big corner Pt. Conception for Santa Barbara.
Morro Bay Yacht Club is one of the nicest places to visit. Members at the dock to greet and catch lines, sparkling bathrooms, laundry machines, shore power, WiFi, and happy hour this evening at 5. What a delight.
