2008 Cruise

We fly this afternoon to Papeete, and then on to Raiatea on Wednesday. Our baggage is substantial; almost 200 pounds of essential boat and cruising stuff. Where will we put it all? Surprise is already full and loaded to the waterline.

After a few weeks in Bora Bora we plan to head for the Cook Islands, then Tonga and Fiji before returning home in September. We'll return to the boat in early October and likely transit to New Zealand in November.

It has been a busy six months since we left the boat; too much time spent in waiting rooms of the various medical and dental purveyors, but we are both in good shape and looking forward to rejoining the boat. Yes, much of the weight we lost during the 2007 cruise has been found.
