Surprise - Steve
We went back to Mounu Island to do some more snorkeling, have lunch ashore at the resort, and check on the chances of a whale trip. The whales are just starting to arrive here from Antarctica, so one of these days we hope to go out with Alan and swim with them. The fish near the island are completely fearless; Alan discourages spear fishing and the results are apparent. Of all of the "resorts" we've seen, this is the one we would recommend. Four bungalows, nice people, great food, stunning environment, great snorkeling and diving, and whales in July.
Our best guess is the guy in the photo is a cuttlefish, one of a school we came across. They are very camera shy; when the flash goes off they change color, squirt ink and rocket away. What fun.
