The boat name is probably too small to read in this photo, but this large motor vessel (looks to me like a giant golf tee...maybe Veejay Singh owns it) dropped anchor near us today and is named Surprise. She's from Fiji, and from what we hear on the vhf radio, the King will go aboard for a short cruise on Wednesday. That's the real Surprise just under the bow of the motor vessel.

Our new batteries are installed and work great. They are a new type of battery, combining the gel and AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) technologies and called a Hybrid (isn't everything these days?). More capacity, higher charging rate, and no messing with water. We now have buckets of electrical power we don't know how to use after months of careful conservation.

Coronation festivities continue, but the actual coronation activities appear to be closely held secrets. The new King is not a man of the people, and few expect him to stroll down Main Street to celebrate his new job. Others say he will show up somewhere, because the people will be pissed if he doesn't.
