There are a lot of condos and Hotels here on this peninsula. The area/resort caters to them very well. I would recommend it as a destination for anyone who is looking for a pampered trip to the area. Swimming in the many different pools and some of them with water slides. One of the pools themes is Alligator and so there are 2 different alligator slides going into the pool from an Aztec/Mayan Temple that you climb up to get to. The other is a single slide with a snake looking critter for a slide. There is a well stocked grocery store and McDonalds, Subway. Domino’s Pizza with delivery service, and so on. It is very adapted to the folks that patronize the area. I myself had a stint in the emergency room. I had been having a numbness in the right side of my face for a few days. I called my dentist in Washington and he told me to get some ‘Keflex’ antibiotics to take. Well, you have to have a prescription for that. So I went to the emergency room, it cost me $60 US, and got a prescription. I then took it next door and got 42 tabs of ‘Keflex’ for $85 US. The doctor in the ER seemed to agree with my doctor. Well, not so good. 3 separate nurses and 1 friend TRIAGE’d me and told me it was ‘Bell’s Palsy’. The internet says I needed to take something different. OH well…. Life goes on, and I am getting better. I need to go swimming in warm clean salt water. Here in the marina it is not very clean and to boot, it has alligators. Yep, not messing around in this water for sure. I will wait a few days till I leave.
