It was a quick jaunt over to La Cruz. I got a slip assignment and got in with no problems. A worker was there and helped me dock, kind of. It would have been easier for me to do it myself. Anyway, he had a clipboard with a form for me to fill out and then he quickly took the water and electrical meter readings. I told him I was just there for the night and would not be getting any water or electricity. I then went up to the office. I had to wait at the gate a bit for someone to let me out since I had no key card. At the office I filled out the paperwork and then was told she didn't have any more keys and I would get one later. Well, later came, 3 more trips to the gate and waiting for someone to come along to let me in and out. $35 US for a night, no key, and being a tad irritated, I didn't even walk the ½ mile or so to the, 'awesome' I am told, Taco stand right outside the marina entrance. I did get to meet back up the the wonderful folks on SV APPA. We had a couple of drinks and great conversation. I then I bid the 'Adieu' and went home to my boat down the dock.
