Sint Maarten
10 January 2010
We have been in Sint Maarten for a few days. We have been washing, waxing, cleaning and working on teak. This means everything else has fallen apart. Below decks is a mess and that is the next task on the list of things to be done. Steve has been working on getting our signal booster to work on more than one computer at a time. Success finally came yesterday. Or so we think. We have not had much time to enjoy Sint Maarten yet. We did enjoy a burger dinner by the airport where all the Caribbean 1500 boats in the area and other cruisers got together for dinner and drinks. We also enjoyed spending some time with the former owners of North Star, Hank and Ceil, who were anchored up right behind the marina we are in for a few days.
My best friend, Cindy, will arrive in a few days to visit and see the island. We have already found some great places to get crepes and french bread. The food is good here and at a reasonable price for the first time in several weeks.
