We left all if the conveniences and pains of the dock on Thursday afternoon. The tv, air conditioning, and the ease of running any appliance whenever we wanted was left behind. We were also able to remove the tin foil from the windows that was needed to block the lights from all of the mega yachts around us. We were back in fresh air and much cleaner water. We spent the night acclimating to the roll of the open ocean just outside the Dutch bridge. We were close enough to run back to any of the conveniences of land we had found. The next day we moved the boat to Phillipsburg. We have been there by local transportation, which is very convenient on this island. For $1.50 you can get from Simpson Bay to popular locations on the island. The kids were the first to try this with some of the local friends they have made. We spent several hours working to remove the worms that had grown to the bottom of the dinghies while we were in the dirty water of the lagoon. Today we are back to Simpson Bay to watch the SuperBowl Game tonight. We will leave in a day or so and head to Saba or St Kitts. I will try to get some photos up of St Martin when the internet is running better.
