slow going with with wind on the nose still

After the great start we had. First day was 197 miles. Wish I'd known at the time because I could have gotten 3 more out of North Star. Second day good. Then the head winds and currents.
Been a slow couple of days. Wind on the nose and starting last night a 1-1.5 knot adverse current. Hope we get out of that soon. Boat is moving ok, just giving up the current deduction. Seen 4 whales and many sets of dolphins during the trip. We also have a group of up to 10, usually 3 or 4 seabirds flying in formation with us. They get ahead and land and wait for us to catch them. Kim thinks they are albatrosses, I don't know. She has some photos. She talks to them during her night watches. She says they talk back.
All is well. We have about 300 miles to go.
