Yesterday, due to a windshift to the north, we ending up coming to the north pass on Fakarava instead of the south one as planned. Nice 6 hour sail in fairly flat seas. The pass here was huge, no issues at all although we were an hour and a half before slack tide. BJ and Kathy on Evenstar are here and have been here for a while, so we got the lay of the land from them. They even brought us a back a fresh baquette a few minutes ago. They said by eight o'clock they are usually gone.
We are going ashore to explore in a few minutes. Probably on Tuesday or so, we'll head to the south end of this atoll. Everyone says the channel here is clearly marked and no obstructions to hit. Contrary to what we saw on Makemo. Hope to get a few parts for some of our dive equipment, they have at least 2 dive shops here in Rotoava.
Till later...
