Had a beautiful spinnaker reach from Toau to the south pass here on Apataki. Entered during mid tide run in the pass. One foot standing waves with current opposing wind at 10 knots. Entry no problem, but didn't really find any anchorages mentioned in the guides for near the village. So, we are here behind a small motu giving us protection from the NE to the SE. We'll see how it goes.
Hope to find some real internet here as we have some business to take care of that is kind of urgent. When the waves subside, providing we are still riding alright at anchor we'll put the dinghy in and head into town. There is an airport here and some packing business we heard. Of course, there are pearl farms as well. Not sure how long we'll stay here. Some books don't talk kindly about Apataki, others speak highly of it. So, as usual, we'll have to find out for ourselves.
That's it for now and all is well.
