Heading to Rangiora tonight

Steve
Departing at 5:30 PM local time from the North Pass in Apataki for Rangiora. Back to the land of real internet, people, stores, dive shops, etc. etc... Should arrive for the 7:30 AM slack tide and then let the explorations begin. All of our buddies ahead of us really seemed to enjoy Rangi and we're looking forward to it.
Yesterday, we were visited at North Star by a large school of Manta Rays. I said 8, Kim said 10 of them. They stayed around for hours and we shot 2 GB of video. We hopped in the dinghy and followed them around. They would let you get close enough to touch their backs when they would surface. We finally figured we got all the manta video we'd ever want and 3 of them, one of the very large ones followed us back to North Star and proceeded to vertical loops in the water. Quite an underwater acrobatic act to finish the afternoon off. It was something special. When we get to real internet tomorrow we'll try to post some video clips and pics.
