Yesterday I was able to secure the batteries and clean up the engine room. Molly felt much better after a good night's sleep. Today we had a lazy morning and then went over to the island for a walk. We went out to the beach and walked north along its wide and pristine expanse. The interior is covered with oak trees, which are indescribably beautiful. It's like walking into another world. We had a look at the Greyfield Inn, a high end accommodation on the island and then went back to the boat. After lunch we made preparations to get underway and left about 4 PM. We were out of the inlet by 5:30 and headed down the coast. This morning finds us off Ormand Beach. We plan to turn the corner at Cape Canaveral and head down to Lake Worth Inlet. Should be there Saturday. We are motor sailing in 15-20 close to the wind, but are looking forward to easing the sheets when we turn the corner. Had some great sailing last night, but the wind has gone east now and we are close hauled. The motion is rocking and rolling but not as bad as before.
