Today we headed north after enjoying two days at liberty landing marina. Did a little bit of Motor sailing winds not really cooperative
ONE HOT DAY!!
Left liberty Marina finally at approximately 11 AM after fueling up, headed north on the Hudson. Finally got a chance to raise a sail after passing 79 Street boat basin. Flew the jib for a couple hours motor sailing at approximately 7 to 7 1/2 knts.
Ran with the tide which helps but progress was not real good only made approximately 33 miles today. Anchored at the northwest end of haverstraw bay but did not stay as the flies were her horrendus and with no shore power or 110 Volts aboard ( need to purchase Honda generator )we could not run our fans TOO HOT-ug!
Pulled into Haberstraw marina for the night. - 66 miles to go which we will grind out tomorrow - another long hot day!
