Sailing with Celestial's Tripp

I used our picture from May 15 of the pilot whales we had surrounding the boat for over an hour! We could hear them through the hull even before we could see them!

We left Hilo as soon as we fixed our main sail and could sail, not motor to Honolulu. It felt good to be back in Ali Wai and then Kewalo Basin where we left the boat and flew back to Seattle. Kewalo is very easy to work with, highly recommend them. Our plan (set in wet sand) is to stay for 6 months and get some work done here then sail around Hawaii Jan to Sept and then sail the boat back to Seattle to explore the NW again. So if you can visit us in Seattle or back in Hawaii after January, that would be great.

About:	On our first boat in 1977 Scott said, "One day I'd like to sail around the world." We did that from 1988 to 1996 on a J-36. Now we own our 4th boat, a Tripp 47 'Celestial' that we are retiring on.
Extra:	We sailed from Maine in 2009 to Panama, up to Seattle, back down to Mexico and over to Hawaii in 2012. 2013 we went to NZ, Aust. and the South Pacific returning to Hawaii in 2015. In 2016 we sailed to Alaska and back to the Northwest. We kept our boat in Portland until April 2018 when Scott and [...] various crew took it to Ensenada to repaint and repair it after 9 years of hard sailing. Now November 2019, we will spend our 2nd winter season in Mexico. More
