I was able to Skype this morning with Tom and Amy on the Sandpiper. Check out Tom's mug on the screen. Tom and Amy left California in the fall of 2005. They have now safely transited the Red Sea and Suez Canal. They are in Turkey regrouping after 4 months of near constant movement. I've known Tom and Amy for many a year now. Tom and I lived at the same marina on our boats just to the north of the Golden Gate in Horseshoe Cove. We both met by happenstance and even more strange is we both were in the Coast Guard and the same rank. Neptune surely intervened when Tom and I ended up serving on the same ship, the plot grew thicker when we ended up room mates in the same stateroom in Chief's country on that same ship.
