Dale hung up all the flags we had flown for the different countries we visited. We counted-we visited 15 different countries and 51 islands or cays. We didn't keep exact count but we know we traveled over 11,000 nautical miles!!

At about 4:00 on Wednesday July 18th, Dilly Dally returned to her spot at Spirit Lake Marina in Duluth, MN. The crew were all smiles after a relatively uneventful motor across Lake Erie, Lake Huron and Lake Superior. I hear they only sailed about 6 hours total!!
So, what's next?? Dale and I have agreed that we are not making any rash decisions about the boat or our cruising future. We're giving it about 6 months before we start discussions on the subject.
Dale is going to start cleaning out the personal items we want back at the house and any boat stuff that doesn't need to stay aboard. Plus, he still has a fix-it list that needs to be completed!! We will keep Dilly Dally in the water for a month or so and we will be sailing with the Northern Lights Sailing Club at Barker's Island on August 18-19th.

Note: Dilly Dally left Spirit Lake Marina on Wednesday July 27, 2011 at about 3:30 pm. She returns 8 days and 23 1/2 hours short of one full year!!

The Dilly Dally crew were happily motoring through the Erie Canal. They met another couple-Silvia & Dirk Lison. They were returning to Detroit after a 4 year circumnavigation. Wow. I guess a good time was had in Lyons, NY. Thanks to host Bob Stopper for the pic!
