Preparing for Summer - New Tanks Needed

As with all Endeavour's, the tankage at some time needs to be replaced. We have been lucky, being in fresh water, the corrosion has been slow. One of the bilge tanks corroded to an unusable state in 2007, after some temporary repairs, it simply needed to come out. Our cruising agenda had not fully developed, and we were able to cruise with reduced water capacity. During our August 2013 cruise, the bilge fuel tank finally gave out and started to leak, forcing the decision to fix the tanks.
Over the winter, I was able to chase down the original tank manufacturer, and get the drawings of the tanks he thought would be in our boat, at least that is what his records indicated. He graciously gave me the drawings, and I made foam mock-ups to see if they will fit. As with almost every boat project, things are not what we thought they should be. It turns out the original tanks are smaller than the ones in the drawings, and I would really like the extra tankage, so it is a re-engineering project. Here are some work in progress photos.
