I am guilty of neglecting the blog but I rationalize this by posting random updates and photos on Facebook. But It's time to catch you all up a bit, going back to our month stay in La Cruz and Banderas Bay. Let's see...James wrote about our fun day trip to the surf competition in Sayulita and Sydney wrote beautifully of our hike with April. Captain Rick wrote about... hhhmmmm... Oh, that's right....Nothing! He is full of all kinds of creative ideas; it just seems he's suffering from some sort of writer's procrastination! We will not give up hope. In the meantime, I will back up and fill in some blanks and give you the Readers Digest version.
If we are going to spend any amount of time in a "town", La Cruz is where we feel the most settled; loving the conveniences of living in a nice marina with warm showers, a beautiful malecon, and an air-conditioned club house where the kids often took their school work up to complete on extra hot days. Laundry service and the produce & seafood markets were at our fingertips. I will miss our daily walks along the water and into town for tacos and/or ice-cream. We spent time with some great people, enjoyed the festivities of semana santa (Easter week) and looked forward every week to our lovely Sunday Market!

We love Banderas Bay. The breeze always blows making it comfortable to live aboard and conducive for sailing when the mood strikes. Beyond our tiny La Cruz, Bucerias is an 8 peso bus ride and Puerto Vallarta is 16 pesos. When we need to make water, we sail out to Punta de Mita and drop the hook and enjoy a few days swimming and surfing. Life in the bay is all so relatively easy!

The days flew by at a scary fast speed, turning into weeks, and then before we knew it, a month has passed and it's time to move on.
