Yesterday we were confined to the boat all day. The wind was really too strong to escape the cabin. The anchor feels like it's stuck in concrete. We love our new anchor! There was a relative lull in the wind this morning when we woke up. We looked out to see our friends on the yacht "Morning Cloud" in the water with Dolphins! We launched the dinghy in record time, suited up and raced over. Judy jumped in and snorkeled over to the pod of maybe 30 dolphins.
Dave followed after securing the dinghy. We must say that the 2 hours we spent swimming with these gentle creatures makes this whole trip up the Red Sea worthwhile. They swarmed around us. We could touch them if we wanted to. They seemed to enjoy us almost as much as we did them. Diving down they would follow and circle you following your fins as you followed their tail.... around and around.
Finally we were exhausted and had to return to the dinghy. I just finished uploading the photos on the computer and as soon as we have an internet connection we will add them to this blog. Now the wind has returned and we are again held captive in the cabin. But now, the apprehensiveness has been replaced with a warm contented feeling. We're really looking forward to tomorrow....
