A powerboat no longer!!!

27 July 2018
Today was a very successful and much anticipated day. The boat isn't ready to sail anywhere yet, but at least we got the mast back on the boat. Not everything went smoothly, but we worked it out. For one thing, we realized that both new lower tang sets were fabricated inaccurately and will have to be remade. They will have to be shipped back to Texas. The gear shift cable mount gave up the ghost today and had to be quickly fixed before we could move the boat from the temporary slip they had us in over to the crane and we had to make an unexpected belt change on the motor back to our marina. Everything that goes wrong is a test or a learning lesson and we are getting good at getting things figured out. We're becoming a better team all the time. And, did I mention, we again have a MAST!?!? =D
